"In the mid-path of my life, I woke to find myself in a dark wood," writes Dante in The Divine Comedy, beginning a quest that will lead to transformation and redemption.
This necklace represents the deepest part of the forest and the deepest part of the human condition. This diverse Aquaprase stone features all the colors that range in this very rare and unique Chalcedony gem.
The green in the stone represents the forest floor that is always lush and verdant no matter the season. The white represents the snow that fills in around the bases of the trees. And the brown is a duality of the wood trees that surround the forest and the natural tone of a stags antlers.
I’ve chosen to represent the triple moon goddess on top with a unique and one of a kind hammered full moon. The moon will always be present illuminating the darkest part of the forest. There’s also sterling silver casted antlers and cedar branches surrounding this forest looking stone. And to finish this necklace off, a trio of black onyx stones to represent the three phases of the full moon.
Aquaprase represents a balance between the kinetic and static parts of our beings, making it a great stone for people taking on big life endeavors. This blue-green stone from Africa with bands of natural brown matrix and cloud-like inclusions makes it look almost airy and earthy all in one. Metaphysically, aquaprase unites the outward-facing, perspective-enhancing qualities of blue gemstones with the earthy stability of its green chalcedony brethren, like chrysoprase. In fact, for years everyone in the gemstone world assumed it was the ugly stepchild of chrysoprase.
*This necklace hangs on an 18 inch long chain. It features a stunning Aquaprase stone surrounded by three faceted black onyx stones, sterling silver casted antlers and cedar branches. It also features a handmade sterling silver hammered moon.
