FAQ's
Shipping Information
Orders will ship within 3 business days. I ship USPS first class mail which takes 3-5 business days to arrive within the U.S. and take 1-8 weeks to ship international depending on the destination. I will always try my best to ship within these perimeters, but I am the only person who runs Folklore Jewelry and I have no control over extenuating circumstances. If you need your item sooner than these allotted times, please feel free to email tmachelski@gmail.com. When I have finished processing your order, you will receive an email with tracking information. I’m sorry, but I am not liable for lost or missing items, but I will try my best to help track down your item with you. If you’d like to add insurance to your package, please email me and I will send an additional invoice with the cost of shipping. All items will ship in 100% recycled and biodegradable cardboard. I love being as eco-friendly as possible and sustainable so there is no printed receipt with your package.
Return Policy
I would love to avoid the need for refunds or exchanges, so to help both of us, PLEASE READ the shop listing thoroughly. I’ve worked very hard to make my listings as clear as they can be. Ring sizes and necklace lengths are listed with the item for sale. I WILL NOT do a return or exchange for an item purchased that was the wrong size (i.e. rings.) I will also not accommodate buyers remorse. (This is only applicable if there was a mistake made on my end. I will take full responsibility. My goal is to make my customers happy and become return customers.) Please know your ring size before purchasing. You can visit any jewelry store and have them check the size of your finger.
Jewelry Care
My handmade jewelry is a form of art and should be treated as such. Please do not wear your jewelry in the shower, ocean, pool or to do dishes. This over exposure to water can damage and tarnish both the metals and stones. Also do not wear while applying lotions or hand creams as those can also tarnish the metal and damage the stones. Also avoid harsh commercial jewelry cleaners and solutions as they are too harsh on the metal and will remove patina. They can also damage the more porous stones e.g. turquoise, opal, malachite and coral. Please clean your jewelry only with the cleaning cloth provided. If your pace of jewelry does get dirty, you can use a soft bristle toothbrush and brush it clean. You can also use a paste made of baking soda and water or warm soapy water. Avoid cleaning the stones with both the cleaning cloth and the baking soda paste.
